The Australian Dietary Guidelines recommends eating 65g of lean, cooked red meat a day.
This is equivalent to eating red meat three to four times a week in a variety of balanced meals with no food waste. The Australian Dietary Guidelines refers to red meat as beef, lamb, pork, kangaroo and game meat and excludes sausages (unless lean and salt reduced), processed meats (such as bacon and ham) and commercial meat products such as burgers and pies.
