Most cattle born into seedstock are naturally polled min read

Almost 72% of calves born into seedstock herds are naturally polled (hornless)

Seedstock cattle are cattle that are raised for breeding and are sold to improve the genetics of the buyers herd rather than being sold for meat.

Almost 72% of calves born into seedstock herds in 2022 were naturally polled (hornless).

Breeding polled cattle provides a permanent solution to many of the problems associated with horned cattle, including easier handling of stock, reduced bruising, reduced risk of injury to stock handlers, reduced labour costs and reduced concerns regarding the animal welfare issues associated with dehorning.
